KATHMANDU, Sept 14 : Banda enforced by CPN-Maoist has adversely affected the life across the country on Friday.
The party called today’s half-day nationwide strike (starting from 6 am to 12 at noon) in protest of growing price hike on daily essentials including petroleum products in the recent days and demanding the implementation of 70-point demands put forth by the party.
Normal life in various parts of the country affected as vehicular movement has been completely brought to standstill due to shutdown.
Educational institutions and market places are also completely closed down.
Earlier on Thursday, CPN-Maoist had cut short the banda hours in view of National Children’s Day and Teej festival.
