One killed in khukuri attack

SOLUKHUMBU, SEP 17 -

A person was murdered in a Khukuri attack in Solukhumbu district on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Gadal Bahadur Rai, 27, of Deusa-8 in the district.

The incident took place after a local Bhupendra Rai, 21, attacked Gadal Bahadur at the house of Dhan Bahadur Rai of Deusa-5 in a minor dispute.

Gadal Bahadur had received injuries on his head and neck. Police said Bahadur was killed in a dispute that

surfaced in the influnced of alcohol.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sudam Basnet, a team headed by police officer of the District Police Office has reached the incident site for further investigation.

Bhupendra has been absconding and search for him is underway, police said. RSS
