KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday nabbed Harikrishna Jamarkattel (24) of Tistung Palung, Makwanpur district on the charge of vandalising a mini truck.
According to a preliminary investigation, an intoxicated Jamarkattel had smashed the windshield of the minitruck in front of the Nepal Telecom Office at Gugrudhara, Thankot at around 9:50 pm yesterday.
In another incident, police said that they have detained three persons for their alleged involvement in vandalising the windshield of a taxi and window panes of a bus belonging to Baba Boarding School at Boudha on Friday.
According to a complaint lodged with police, dissident faction of the Stupa College based at Tusal, Boudha vandalised the college accusing the establishment faction of irregularities in recruiting the teachers.
Acting on a tip off, establishment faction and teachers filed a complaint against them at Boudha police station today and obstructed the road.
Consequently police used lathis to disperse the crowd.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
